The Department of Biotechnology UG couse was started in the academic year 2002 with the combination of Botany and Chemistry under the affiliation of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. The department was developed year by year with increasing student strength with above 90% pass percentage every year.The department is playing active role in developing future bio-technologists. The department also encouraging the students from various , Certificate courses . Now the department is well equipped with Spacious labs and facilitated with Tissue culture lab. Encouraging students towards research through Study projects.The department is maintaining Incubation Cell with several startups to encourage students towards entrepreneurship.
With the support of the Biotechnology department another UG Course also running named B.Sc., Food technology and Management.


To make proficient Bio technologists who can hire premium processes and applications which will  extremely effect the  present standard of microbial, healthcare, industrial , agricultural and rehabilitation of environment to assume defendable competitive edge depending on current social conditions.


To provide Biotechnology educational Program with impetus to generate quality workforce.
